I was going to post a general question about Joyce Hattos's recordings, but I see that she has died and a quick check of her label, Concert Artist/Fidelio Recordings, shows nothing, a bare site with no (or little) text. I did find some on Music web, they are expensive..... I'm undaunted though. The search continuesI have heard fantastic Schumann and (believe it or not) Rachmaninoff from Hatto. To those unfamiliar with Hatto she left stopped performing decades ago due to illness (or we might actually say cancer...) and her husband has been putting out new recordings (over a hundred) on a private label.
Anyone joined the Hatto bandwagon (or off) and have any comments or recommendations.
I should add that I am a Cortot and Haskil fan, but the selections of Schumann I heard on the a BBC radio spotlight on her were stunning in their communicative dexterity (I can't put it another way, at the moment).
