In general, I've always found these novelty acts (The Boston Pops, etc.) where classical musicians try to play pop music to be the most embarassing and depressing exercises in pointlessness. The material is nearly always too demanding. The main thing is that popular music is basically democratic, whereas classical music, especially orchestral, is fascistic.Specifically, this performance isn't bad, although the transcription is far from perfect. There are no horns?
