The Captain was dancing all over the stage, actually snapping his
fingers, leaning into the microphone and intoning things like "listen
to the air bass!" Fowler's playing was a hoot: mirthful, exhuberant,
and, well, perfect. And it was the bass line too; Eric Drew Feldman
was wringing and wrangling slide guitar licks out of keyboards.
You know, with his virtual telepathic rapport with his always
excellent sidemen, the Captain must be channeling Bob Wills: "Take
