This IS a thoroughly enjoyable performance, one arrived at after trying out various other unsatisfactory renditions. A great piece of music.In similar vein I have had difficulty in finding a satisfying performance of Grieg's "Peer Gynt" - the complete music, not the suites. Well the BIS SACD set (1441/42) has met that with the proviso it also contains the complete play with words so the remote needs to be handy to skip the text if not required. Brilliant production from the home of the mountain king in Bergen, Norway.
