I think that there's something to be said for classical music being brought in to enhance the action on screen. For example when you get to watch gazelles engaged in sexual acts in time to the William Tell Overture, or Thus Spake Zarathustra, it gives you a different perspective on what might have been running through the animals' minds at the time, or perhaps Rossini's, or Strauss's.
