Good news. I've been waiting for these for a long time, ever since being disappointed with Belle & Sebastian - The Life Pursuit. I'm just a man in search of good melodies, as I can't make out the words to the lyrics usually.
Paper Moon - Only During Thunderstorms
This was disappointing upon the first several listens. But then it got better, and better. And then I remembered, that all Paper Moon's albums were always disappointing at first, but somehow the melodies become apparent after a while. Worthy addition to their catalog.
Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career
Their previous albums are among the best melodies, and I was very afraid of what might happen with this one. But from the very first notes, I knew it was everything I hoped it would be. Sometimes you can just tell right away by the quality. This was more carefully crafted than Let's Get Out Of This Country, and ranks up there among BBHF, UAPTH, and ILMJ.
