Yeah, - Electric Manor is interesting....Have you heard of the Ceiba stuff? They are a burning man influenced clothing store and electronica music shop here in SF. I have Miditations 3, - a very good mix CD not too far away from Electric Manor stuff, - more acid house style...
Also check out Prem Joshua remixes, - Dakini Lounge.
About Thievery: I picked up a CD called "Dubbed out in DC" which, I think, was one of the first Eighteenth St. Lounge CDs and one of the first Thievery CDs. Found it in a little shop in Baltimore. A couple of the songs eventually made it to "Sounds from the Thievery HiFi:" because "dubbed out" is so obscure. Allegedly, there were 3 of these pre-Thievery CDs made, - all with different titles and all had a number of artists on them. The Revolutions CD isn't one of those is it?
I either picked up and then sold Jet Society, or Covert Operations: can't remember which, (I think that it was Covert), - ended up not liking it.
I should check out the Spiritualized. I am hit and miss on their stuff. I really like "Ladies and Gentlemen" but have disliked others....
Cheers Tony.
is this the real me, or a mere facsimile?
