RE: A Winged Victory for the Sullen

A really nice album. The piano is not as subtle, nuanced or creatively related to the larger movement as I would like at times... but perhaps that is the intent, which I would not argue with.

I very much like this album and it will be in high rotation for a while... at least until one of your other tips arrives. The more I listen the more I like.

Edit: after a few listens I'd now like to qualify the comments above; I feel this occurs only occasionally and is intentional.

Edit 2: Now I don't don't notice that at all... only that some tracks are a little more dynamic than others. The piano work is lovely. I am guessing I had needed spend some time away from Arvo Part's Alina before before appreciating this album for what it is. Ah, the curse of relative thinking.

Thanks for putting me on to this album.

Cheers,
