Once again we agree! I think Bernard went through an anti-singer stage early on. I have really liked New Order from the moment I heard them... I came to them late.
I find the majority of the lyrics on their last two albums, well, er, how do I say this, lame. Perhaps that is more about me than them.
Regret is a fantastic song. I remember hearing it for the first time after having resigned myself to never hearing a new release from the band several years earlier. At first I was not sure it was them... perhaps an Electronic release, despite Hooky's trademark contribution... I was pretty stoked when I found out it was them. Great album also.
I also thought I would never get to see them live... but managed to see them at the Big Day Out festival.
You have heard Electronic's (Bernard and Jimmy Marr) first album (self-titled), no doubt.
