Mine is a floating floor because I needed to run conduit under the floor for cables.
It's build on a concrete slab using Kinetics Noise Control KIP system. On top of that is 2 layers of 5/8" hardwood plywood layed at 90 degrees from one another with Green Glue inbetween. On top of that is 1/4" rigid fiberglass and then 3/4" Maple laminate. Just follow the link to my construction.
