I can use the portable iPad as the remote control with the big TV screen ON or OFF. Or I can use my MacBook Air laptop with the TV screen ON or OFF. Ditto for the iPhone. I can also use my Apple Watch to control Roon but that would be silly in the main listening room.
If I'm driving the big TV from the Mac Mini I can use the wireless keyboard + mouse paired to the Mac Mini - no laptop, iPad, or iPhone necessary.
Here, I went into the Mac's Accessibility section and made the mouse pointer into a huge hand - just so it shows up better for the photo below :-)
Keyboard + mouse would normally be near my listening spot on the sofa
iPad would normally be propped up on the little table to the side of the sofa or right beside me
Grabbing the iPad by the case or around the edges won't glitch anything
