There can be intranet streaming from your local music server as well as internet based streaming. All of my shiny discs have been ripped to a toaster sized NAS and donated to the local library system. That saved lots of space! My digital music library of ~1000 albums (including lots of 24 bit content) fits on a tiny microSD card used by the Oppo 105 player in the HT.

While I enjoy Qobuz, I have lots of content simply not found there. Nor on any other internet based service. Need local storage for that.
