RE: Todd, you can connect external USB drive

As an aside, some older 2.5" USB disk drives draw more power than many USB ports were designed to supply. Some of those USB disk drives came with a USB Y-Cable. One end of the Y was meant to connect to a 2nd USB port to provide more power for the disk drive.

Not an issue with modern 2.5" USB disk drives or SSD but something to be aware of.... I've been bitten in the butt by this issue before! I no longer have any of those older USB disk drives around.

P.S. Similar issue can arise with some USB CD burners. Some draw too much power from the USB port in which case a USB Y-Cable can help.... or get a more power efficient CD burner or one with an external power supply.
