My Wavelength Brick USB DAC v3 from a dozen years ago was just OK compared to other DACs of its time in the same price class.
I thought the Wavelength was very smooth with nice midrange - as tubes do - but otherwise it was noticeably rolled off in the bass and treble. The overall sound was 'polite' as in lacking dynamic punch. Didn't offer much detail either. I believe MSRP was right around $2000 with the Mortar upgrade power supply which I had.
I kept the Wavelength Brick USB DAC v3 for a short while, used it to digitize some vinyl, but got tired of it soon after. I felt like too much of the music was missing -> bass, treble, detail, dynamics.
