Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Have you considered a Raspberry Pi?

I run a RPi 5 as an LMS server. Currently using a NAS for local storage but switched to that less than a year ago. Previously the RPi (4B at that point) had its own dedicated 4TB drive. The setup runs flawlessly managing 5925 albums with 63581 songs by 13552 artists on the drive. (I also have Qobuz which LMS integrates nicely with my local collection.)

The LMS server provides music for 2 speaker systems and 2 headphone setups. Plenty of tweaks that one can apply to the RPi with a LPS and other mods. Then one is free to use a variety of different players. I have another RPi as an end point sending USB out to a DAC, two other setups with WiiM units (Pro+ and Ultra) and a final unit with another RPi with a DAC2HD hat. Endless options at the player end -- one can get as fancy/expensive or simple/budget as one likes.
