The BP might be my choice if I could only have one DAC. But I have 4 DAC's now that keep me content..... plus I'm slowly turning into an "audio tightwad". A friend who has had a Border Patrol DAC said the only reason he sold it is that he realized some of his downstream components simply synergized better with XLR or balanced outputs. The BP to the best of my knowledge has single ended outputs only. This would not be an issue for me, but as always YMMV as this DAC falls more to the musical side of the equation as opposed to the analytical.
