Reading reviews as well as comments all over the internet, I notice that the PS Audio is rarely called a "dynamic" DAC and in the review linked below, the reviewer says that it's dynamically restrained depending on the source. He only really liked the dynamics when using SACD as source, and most of my stuff is on 16/44.1 as files.
So I'll get a chance to hear it. Regarding my comment it's "old technology", I'm just thinking about how digital has been advancing steadily for a while, and 10 years is a long time in the digital world. But things like their power supply, handling RFI, clocking technology, etc. are probably still about as good as it gets.
