I love my BlueSound Vault (original). I have stuck with the old software for now (you can switch between freely) as I like the old interface better...probably since I am used to it.
I particularly like the Vault 1 (not the later ones) because it works from a wall wart powersupply rather than having a builtin supply. This means I can run it from a battery pack and that is what I do. This significantly improved the sound.
The other thing that I do to give it a performance jump is that I reclock the signal with a Mutec MC3+ reclocker. Huge improvement...recommened for every streamer.
This combo (BlueSound and clocker) sounds very good and I have tried out but not been tempted to buy something much more expensive.
