I think the sub-$1000 everSOLO DMP-A6 was meant to compete with costly network streamer/player DACs from the likes of HiFi Rose, Niam, Auralic, some Aurender and others. The HiFi Rose units range from $2200 to $5200. Aurender goes even higher.

The everSOLO DMP-A6 was hard to come by just a couple months ago. Looks like they're more readily available now even showing up on Amazon.

Amazing what you can get for your money these days if you can forgo brands with audiophile cred and prestige and pricing to match.
