I use a 1k resistor loaded pot.
EVS makes a 1k pot that can work with your amps.
You will need a source of 50 or 75 ohms output, be care full with that, mainly no tube DACs.
Reimyo and EAD work fine.
With 0.5 volts input sensitivity, a 2 volts source will do fine.You can order the EVS 1k pots with 30 day money back...

No conection to EVS, I like their web page and love my shunt resistor passive preamp, I had TVC but like reistors better...
