Went through this exercise some time ago and it is easy to become totally confused. There are strong arguments that cabling should only be 1.5 meters long but others refute this. And so it goes on.

I eventually settled on cabling from the Aussie place listed below. The results have been very satisfying and I am very sceptical about the need to spend a small fortune on a link. Note this not saying the quality of the cabling is unimportant, merely that, IMO, there is a lot of expensive snake oil out there.
