I have software in my computer at home that will tell me who made the Disc. The memorex I check at one time was made by Rytech (not sure of spelling).
For the most part none of the big names make them, it is work that is contracted out and they will change contractors every now and then. Somtimes they will have Music CD with one and Data CD with another.
I have seen some change manufactors 3 times that I am awhere of in just a few short years.Look for CDs made in Japan and it will be a very good bet that they are made by Ty-yudan (spelling again), these are some of the better ones.
I don't have a DVP S9000ES so you want to pick one up and give it a try.
