DEQ 2496 and DAC 1

I am thinking of taking digital out from a transport to a DEQ 2496 to a DAC 1. Has anyone elese done this? How does it work. The DEQ 2496 does not have a digital co-ax input does it? What ins and outs do you guys use? Right now I drive my McIntosh MC 352 directly from my DAC1 and it works great, perfect gain structure in stock form. I just want to insert the DEQ 2496 in compleate digital form for a little corection. Any comments or ideas?
