Re: Benchmark DAC1 changes

I have one of the new BM Dac 1 on loan and I really thought it was all time answer to bringing out analog type realism out of CDs and it is somewhat of an improvemnt I guess but Im using a Denon 3520 and I also have a Nak OMS7 II and truthfully after trying new denon 3920 unmodded,it made me keep my machines in tact.I run all vacuum tubes on my martin logan monolith 2 electrostatic speakers but I run SS amps in the sub bass reigion from 100cps on down.
THe benchmark seems to be an improvemnt but when I had gone back to the LINN TT and Ittok arm and koetsu rosewood cart.,it made me realize that the digital format is lacking in many areas still..I did play jazz at the pawnshop in both formats and vivaldi and thelma houston pressure cooker and in every single case the table just brings a whole other dimension that I miss with my digital formats.
The record noise is a tiny bit but when the music is playing it isnt even a factor. The reason Im comparing it to the table is becuase that will give me justification whether or not to buy the benchmark. At this point its a no sale.It is nice for the price tho but analog it is not.
