I auditioned a Mark Levinson No.39 before i chose this.I read the designer had a hand in the BAT CD player too though i may be mistaken.I am satisfied with it in my system as aside from satisfying sound it offers a digital input thru which i am able to run my DVD player and PC audio all with NO Preamp!$2,500.00 seemed like a lot when i was shopping but there was nothing else in the neighborhood with what i wanted.
