That is all subjective and only you can answer that. The Apollo is a fine player and as to 'would my money be better spent elsewhere' again I don't know your system, would speakers or amp areas benefit more from an injection of cash?
I suppose it is the problem of what area is money best spent to improve the system overall. The answer is not always obvious.
You wouldn't get my Saturn back off me though!!
