HowdyYep, but you need to look closer on Hi-res, there have been plenty of posts from mastering engineers, etc. that like DSD (and to be sure over on the AudioBahn there are others who prefer PCM :)
I never said that DSD is always better than analog masters or PCM masters, but in my experience it is.
I'm not discounting your experience, just your speculation :) The down convert from DSD gives some of the best CDs I've heard.
