I'd be paying about $50 for the player as-is. It has had some significant component upgrades in the electronics. I repair electronics for a living, so I'm not scared of the work. I'm just wondering if anyone has fixed a skipping C541 before and knows whether or not it's likely the laser. An upgraded C541 with a new laser for under $200 seems like a pretty good deal. Searching eBay, I can't even find a used NAD beyond the C540.
