Best fix here would be to get a refund. No harm in trying to clean the lens, but it's unlikely to be the issue. If you mess with the insides and get no result the seller might not want to help out. No doubt you've considered all this already.
It's tough when you've geared yourself up to receiving a top notch player, you just want it to work, but a refund would be my recommendation.
