Toslink connector on Toshiba SD9200 - Is mine defective?

The Toslink panel jack on my Toshiba SD9200 does not appear to be a standard jack. I don't know if it is broken or whether I just need a special plug. Of the three or four cables I have on hand, none of them will lock into the jack. It seems like it is too deep or in some other way too big. The plug just wallows in it. It does not appear to be damaged, ie no cracks in the housing or anything.

Has anybody else noticed this? Is there a special plug required for this?

Thanks,

Rob
