Well ... i've had a completely different experience.
I found that the analog out on the SB-3 to be worse than that of my $50 discman. I love the functionality of SB-3, and hence am going to keep it, but the audio quality was very disappointing. So currently i'm hooking it to the digital input on my receiver, and enjoying my music. Hopefully sometime soon, i'll add a quality outboard DAC and hook it up to my main stereo system.
