With the Behringer DEQ2496 you get a digital EQ in the bargain. Apparantly the SRC2496 is hard to find - I have one, but have never really gotten around to using it. The DEQ2496 has a decent dac especially considering the whole unit is only $300. It has only balanced outputs though, which is also the case on the SRC2496. Do a search on these units here at AA and you'll find tons of info.Both these units have very high output - so a passive preamp will work well with either, I use the Creek OBH12 and it works fantastic.
