I bought the Altmann Attraction DAC (full monty) like a pig in the poke - based largely on what Dick Olsher wrote in his Enjoythemusic article! I use a cheap Panasonic S47 DVD player to feed the DAC, and cables are a Canare. The battery enclosure uses a Universal SLA in an enclosure which Vinnie Rossi of RWA fabricated for me. Frankly, I have no desire to audition or try any other CD player or DAC. I have found the DAC that will stay in my system for many years to come, providing me that rare quality which I call "musical enjoyment". The Altmann is non-fatiguing and analog sounding, and has an organic fluidity that I find hard to describe!
