Frank,I ordered the Great March modified from the same place recently. Speaking with the owner directly, he suggested the modded Great March over the other DACs based on the price I was willing to spend. Tried the modded DAC with both my Oppo Digital DV970HD universal DVD player and Sony CDP-CX240 200-disc megachanger. The Great March smoothed out the harshness inherent in the Sony but did nothing for the Oppo Digital. I would say that these DACs are very transport "sensitive". Until I tried a modded California Audio Labs and stock MSB Link DAC III was I able to hear a positive change to the Oppo Digital. I ended up returning the Great March modified by Pacific Valve and Electric Company because of the Oppo Digital. If you do decide to order a modified Great March, make sure the L/R outputs were installed correctly. Mine were reversed. Pacific Valve and Electric Company from my experience provides excellent customer service. It was just too bad I didn't experience a positive change with the Oppo Digital or I would have kept the modded Great March.
