Footers w/Cary CD 303/300

I don't like the CD 303/300's feet. They do not secure the unit to the shelf below. And the problem with a lot of the aftermarket footers I've tried further dull the 303/300's sound.

The set that seems to do the least sonic harm is HRS' spacer and rubber disc combo. In my May 31 post on my blog, the 303/300's own foot is in air. That's on account of the unit being propped on the HRS discs.

If you can get tall enough brass cones and somehow secure them to the underside, they'll work (sonically) too.

I've tried the 303/300 between Bright Star Audio's Big and Little Rocks. These Rocks literally squeezed the life out of the CD player. The sound became slow, restricted, murky, dull, and uninspiring.
