HowdyPersonal experience is worth a whole lot more than arm chair quarterbacking.
I've tried a lot of cheap tweaks and like some, don't like others, can't be bothered with others. But many more than I thought could have made a difference do make a difference to my ear.
For tweaks which cost more visit some friends and see if their tweaks make a difference to you compared to when they are removed or find a local audio club, many try various tweaks at times.
