Source decision: looking for excellent sense of air and space

Quick, which player should I go with? The Audio Aero Capitole MK II SE or the Esoteric X-03 (non-SE)? The elusive trait I'm looking for is an outstanding sense of air and space. I am currently using a Meridian G08, which is organic and smooth, but doesn't do air and space as well as I'd like. I've owned the EMM Labs duo in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it but it's out of my budget for now. Other important traits are dynamics, pace, and bass weight. I prefer larger soundstages and 3 dimensional imaging. I've narrowed it down to the two players listed above, the AA and the Esoteric. Which of these two players will get me closer to what I'm looking for? While I know there are many other great players out there, I am currently deciding between these two. Both are actually beyond my budget too but I will attempt to stretch!
