...that I heard them both but I would say the Capitole II was audibly superior to the Prima. The Prima is a nice enough machine but IMO you won't be sorry you upgraded.The Capitole is also much (MUCH) superior to the Redbook on the SCD-1.
What prompted you to start over? That was a nice rig.
