Hi,
I posted last week about possible cause(s) for CD player skipping.
As first suggested I tried cleaning the laser lens to no avail. Today I removed the laser assembly from the transport (without detaching the wires) and cleaned the stainless rod and one other area where the laser assembly moves along as it tracks the CD. Voila
it is tracking flawlessly.
Anybody know what kind of light bodied non hardning lubrication is used in this area of CD transports?
Thanks,
