versus SFCD-1, which is a cd player only with no option whatsoever to use as a transport. SFT-1 is a nice transport indeed that has similar sound characteristics as the ARC and or McCormack transport unit, which is an excellent mate for the SFD-2 Mark 2 dac. However, the SFCD-1 is an excellent cd player as well, which was design to integrate the SFT-1 and SFD-2 in one unit.If it is my choice, I’ll go with the SFCD-1 and do away altogether the unnecessary cabling.
