Mourning my EAD DSP 7000MkIII

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

All things must pass. Indeed, my beloved EAD DAC now alternates between static and silence. It's death was quite sudden and unexpected. Taking it out of the loop, now listenting to my ancient Musical Concepts CD One, I realize how much I'd come to depend on it.
TThe EAD was truly a nice piece for its vintage and price. At todays going used price of just a few hundred bucks, I doubt it it is even worth sending the thing off for reanimation.
Time for a $120 Pioneer universal format player now, I suppose.
