Rain-X. This is a product that may be found at auto supply stores or in the auto accessory section of most grocery, variety, and drug stores in the US. A 16-ounce bottle cost under $5 US.

It removes scratches and as a by product it keeps fog off off mirrors in bathrooms. If used for the auto it is great at making water run off winshields. I have had my bottle for more then 10 years using it for all of the above and it looks like I will have it for another 10.

Rain-X removes scratches for me on CDs/DVDs and I have yet, to note any degradation of the media. You may wish to read the product content, but if it is not your cup of tea you still can have steam free bathroom mirrors and auto windows. LOL
