I beleive the 1050 was one of the best CD players available in it's day and still ranks high in my book to this day. I bought 3 of them on clearance years ago for $197 each. Should have kept at least one. I also miss the "index" feature.
If the cost of repair is not to bad, .............. the choice is yours.Bill
