Thanks for the detailed response and I'm glad that you're happy with your system, but I'd urge you to try a decent dedicated CD transport with your existing DAC as it appears you have yet to do this since the improvements you've gained with the room correction, as only then can you really say the USB route is superior.

Yes, your present set up may well knock any previous CD player into a cocked hat, but it's imperative you compare like with like before reaching a conclusion.

Then again, why bother when you're enjoying what you've already got? :0)
