Pretty much all DACs are getting more scarce. There are a few out there but most people are buying CD players instead. When you buy a new CD player, you are buying a new DAC and you get a free transport along with it, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to get a DAC unless it has a bunch of inputs and you need that. The next thing that is making a stand-alone, stereo DAC obselete is the inclusion of DACs in preamplifiers and receivers. People who buy Pre/Processor units or surround sound receivers get DACs built-in and they are out of the market. That doesn't leave a lot of people left to buy new DACs. There are still a few very high quality units available but the market is small for them and most companies will not produce them for that reason.
