The cable was 2nd hand so cost around €500e for 1.5mtrs which is indeed a steal.
As for the Xanszang cable, I believe it is sterling silver. Regardless of sound, I don't see the point in alloys regardless of sound phosphor bronze a case in point. Sterling is far less corrosion resistant than pure silver anyway.
