Ah, maybe my relatives' dog is singing "Waimanalo Blues." Not wanting to bake in the Hawaiian heat, the dog found shade, while my relatives went shopping for local Waimanalo vegetables.
To cool off, you might just want to run into the ocean. Don't. It might not seem like there are any waves, but my cousin Janelle is reading the water, looking for currents.
Which brings us back to the Kimber 12TC speaker cable. The first time I actually saw a 12TC was at my Uncle Gerry's (Janelle's dad) house on Oahu, in the early 2010's. The 12TC does not have any signal flow indicators. So be sure to mark off which direction you've "burned in" the 12TC.
In 2013-2014, I worked at a public high school. Throughout the school year, we had lots of days off. Thus, we actually had pockets of time, for college tours. As long as we knew the students were safe, we staff needed to relax, reminisce about our own college experiences.
I really started to go hot tubbing, when I was in college [early 1990's]. It was a meditative experience, where I, free from audiophiles' influence, pressure, and bias, did my best thinking about audio products.
Anyway, Janelle had brought her dad's Kimber 12TC to me in the Bay Area. With colleagues, I went on a quick trip to the Pacific Northwest. While we soaked in a hot tub, my uncle's 12TC was getting treated on an audiodharma Cable Cooker.
Note that, on this pair of Kimber 12TC, we place rubber bands, to indicate the amp end. From past experiences in Cooking 12TCs, optimal Cook time is no more than 4 days. Like resting in the shade, watching waves/currents/surf, and soaking in a hot tub, the Cooking process relaxes and smoothes the 12TC's sonics. By eliminating some grain and distortion, the Cooker unlocks the 12TC's potential.
Whether or not you play anything, give the Cooked 12TC a couple weeks to "settle." By being less lumpy and distorted, the Cooked 12TC does not fight as hard against the amps and speakers you use it with.
