Some folks hear a difference but I'm a fan of just about any decent quality commodity CAT6 cable.

You say "residential" but what does that mean exactly?

Do you need to run several hundred feet through the walls? Through air ducts? You might want to check your local building code for in-wall cables. You might need CM/CMP/CMR rated cable.

Any lengths outside the house? You might want weather/UV resistant cable.

Under ground across the yard? You might want to use direct burial cable.

Or do you just want a 10-foot length of CAT6 'patch cable'? You can spend a couple bucks on just about any brand that will do a perfectly fine job or you can buy a designer Ethernet cable for audio.
