I want to share my experience with Avanti Audio "Allegro" bi-wire speaker cables purchaased directly from the company (which, I believe, is now defunct) in 2012.
My previous speaker cable was long-forgotten single-wire silver-palladium Pure Note Alluvion used with jumpers. The speakers are Silverline Sonata-III, and the amp is Cary SLI-80 integrated (purchased in 2003).
The Pure Note cables are very clean and musical at the same time, but after a week's listening period, I heard something wrong (the sound became thin and clinical and I got an imprerssion that the HF drivers were not working.
Today I removed the Alluvion cables, searched my stash, took out and hooked-up the Avanti bi-wire speaker cables. From the very first notes I was (and currently am) very satisfied - now the sound is full-bodied and without any deficiencies. They are moderately warm, very musical and dynamic without any brightness.
I will appreciate any comments and experiences.
