RE: IeGO Power 8095 AC Male IEC Female Power Connectors

Just felt the desire to update my findings on these plugs:

After having spent another 72 hours listening to them once again placed onto what obviously were the last of the cost efficient Jena Labs Crimson Red RX ( silver plated copper power cords | having checked her site yesterday | it seems she's going after a slightly wealthier market ) with said IeGO 8095 plugs moved over to the DAC, where it now seems the cord itself as used on the Aurender music server was being wasted | now I'm hearing everything at its absolute best.

It's sense of beauty is captured in a manner of which I no longer think any other plating types come close | and while I'm still pursuing several un-plated copper types " CopperColour Beryllium " which are reported by several Japanese buddies as sounding more organic than either of the Viborg | Monosaudio versions of which I was more than inclined to believe | as well as ordering a set of IeGO silver plated copper AC | IEC plugs to sample on either the Chinese Odin 2 Silver or Odin Gold as I'm trying to determine which works better on the Aurender?, once I've replaced their stock connectors.

The added sense of beauty ( once again ) | sweeter top end extension which offers a very very very addictive balance of which I've never encountered beforehand, is simply spot on | the midrange area offers what I hear as moving | correctly balanced | textured with away of just opening up further with each passing hour | each artist seemingly are better placed within their own respected environment | the sense of PRAT is once again the best I've heard..., the low end is clean | clear | defined in a way which allows better integration as well as spotlights the bassist or cellist technique, where one merely becomes engaged with the overall attack | feel | presence | tonality on a whole.

And which I'm quite aware gold planting tends to gloss over to much top end detailing | has caused quite a few music lovers to seek other types of plating to enhance their systems overall performance | meeting from what I've gathered during the research period of 2 weeks, means pure silver | silver plated copper or rhodium plated connectors, be they RCA | XLR | Binding Post | RCA input jacks | Banana Plugs or Spades. The fun part of late for me at least has become where using different types of plating on my 2 pairs of SCs, by merely using one type on the amp end ( be it silver or rhodium plated copper banana plugs ) along with either gold plated copper or un-plated banana plugs placed onto the speakers binding post has opened my listening experience | as well as overall quality of sound | life to newfound possibilities | sense of awareness to even greater heights.

While I'm also aware some naysayers will claim spending money on tweaks, in itself is a waste of ones time | effort | funds, I beg to differ..., I've come to be a firm believer that it's one's attention to the smallest of details in voicing their system which essentially leads to one's willingness to enjoy their equipment for years and years to come, as opposed to always thinking that throwing even more money at much costlier components is going to make matters better ( if said components are synergistically matched?, only then would I say go for it, provided somethings broken that is ) there are times we become so smitten with this brand of electronics or cabling or speakers, yet very seldom ask ourselves if they do in fact play well together?, there's a reason many reputable dealers have existed for ages, they've all more or less played around with every component that has entered their shop or home ( as this has become the norm since the mid 90s ) and ideally know which pieces collectively match, taking the guesswork out of many consumers buying blind | finding oneself totally clueless as to why they aren't listening to their systems as much as they once did?, in truth the simplest of answers is, the shit wasn't designed based upon a wholistic synergistic approach, and is meant to fail even before said piece(s) have entered your home.

And while I'm not some fake ass guru or mentor | I do know how to listen to music based upon both what my ears | heart tells me sounds | feels right | as well as truer to the source, as well as based upon years and years of listening to live music, where one merely build upon a references point as it relates to truth of timbre | tonality of instruments | vocal renditions, which aren't meant to be taken for granted, especially those listening to Hi-Fi effects like a train rumbling down the tracks in the background, or how many grasshoppers can be heard in the distance, no one needs to know the actual pitch | textural | tonal traits of the human voice | artist feel | technically expressed emotional aspects within each song, as displayed in the joy or sadness, which should all be clearly felt, if it doesn't move you?, then the equipment isn't serving its purpose | it's as simply | honest as that.

Take care all.
